This policy explains what SoundLibs (soundlibs.com) collects, how we use it and how we protect it. We follow applicable law and collect as little as possible.
1. What we collect
(i) Account data: username, display name, email and a one-way hash of your password. (ii) Usage data: search terms, previews, downloads and points consumption. (iii) Device and log data: IP address and browser identifier, used for security and troubleshooting. (iv) Order data: order number, amount, currency, channel and payment status.
2. Payment information
Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe and Airwallex. We never receive or store your card number or full payment credentials — only the result (success, amount, channel transaction id), which we use to activate your access and reconcile accounts.
3. Why we use it
To provide the service and activate memberships, process orders and refunds, support you, prevent fraud and abuse, and understand and improve the product. We do not sell your information.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language and theme, plus first-party analytics to understand page usage. Clearing cookies in your browser will sign you out.
5. Third parties
We share what is necessary with payment providers, cloud hosting and object storage, and email/notification services, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy.
6. Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists. After deletion we keep order and risk records only for the minimum period required by law and accounting rules, and delete or anonymise the rest.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct or export your account data, or request deletion. Use the form on "About → Contact" and we will respond within a reasonable period.
8. International transfers
Our servers and some providers may be located in Hong Kong or abroad. We require processors to apply appropriate data protection measures.
9. Children
The Site is not intended for children under 16. If we learn of such an account we will delete its data.
